This fall, the Rotary Club of York celebrated the completion of our Market Street Tree Project, a remarkable demonstration of Rotary’s impact in action. With nearly $50,000 raised—including support from a Rotary District Grant—our club brought new life to one of York’s most visible corridors.
Together with nearly 50 Rotarians and community volunteers, we planted over 60 trees and installed 14 new planter boxes, creating a greener, more inviting gateway to the city. The results are already being felt: enhanced walkability, renewed civic pride, and growing interest from neighboring businesses to join future beautification efforts.
This project reflects what happens when Rotarians lead with vision and collaboration—combining hands-on service with lasting community investment. It’s a shining example of how our motto, Service Above Self, continues to transform York, one project at a time.
