Hello, District 7390!
One of the greatest strengths of Rotary is that it's powered by volunteers who are willing to step forward and lead. This week, I'd like to invite you to consider where your talents could make a difference beyond your own club.
We're currently looking for Rotarians to help with several district opportunities, including serving on our 2026-27 District Conference Planning Committee, and serving as a Social Media Point of Contact, or official photographer to capture our Impact Tour Early Literacy Book Drive events this fall. Whether you're creative, organized, or simply enjoy working behind the scenes, there's a place for you to serve.
Speaking of service, our District Finance Committee met this past week to review our district finances and prepare conversations on our annual budget. They're also developing practical tools and resources to make life a little easier for our club treasurers. If finance, budgeting, or nonprofit management interests you, I'd encourage you to reach out to me or District Finance Chair PDG John Anthony to learn more about joining the committee.
Looking ahead, I hope you'll join us Thursday evening in York for our first Rotary Means Business networking event of the Rotary year. It's the best opportunity to connect with Rotarians and professionals from across our district.
Next week, there's still time to join us at the Strike Out Hunger & Polio Phillies Game, where we'll cheer on the Phillies, watch Rotary International President Yinka throw out the ceremonial first pitch, and hopefully enjoy a much needed win from the home team!
And keep that October Rotary Leadership Institute date on your calendar (10/10). Whether you're a new member or a longtime Rotarian, RLI is one of the best investments you can make in your Rotary journey. You'll deepen your understanding of Rotary, strengthen your leadership skills, and return to your club with fresh ideas and new connections.
Finally, don't forget our Early Literacy Book Drive. We're collecting new books for children from birth through age five to help build classroom libraries in early learning and childcare programs across all seven counties in our district. Every book donated helps foster a lifelong love of reading.
Thank you for all you do to create lasting impact. I hope to see many of you this week in York, at Citizens Bank Park next week, and throughout the district as we continue serving our communities together. So, who are you inviting to a Rotary event next week?
