Service Activity Name                   Toilets & Handwash Facilities

Description                                       In 1998 the Rotary Club of Gettysburg, in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Vijayawada-MidTown, constructed toilets and installed handwash facilities at ten schools.  The schools served poor sections of town, and will enable students to have a clean safe place to use the toilet, and wash their hands afterwards.  This will lead to better health for all and, in the case of girls, allow them to stay in school past puberty.
