Rotary Club of York
With help from the Rotary Clubs of Eastern York County, Hanover, Red Lion/Dallastown, Southern York County, Uptown York, York-East and York-North
Quick Summary: The event will be shared by Clubs throughout York County on April 11 as we plant trees to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary, York County’s 275th anniversary, and the Articles of Confederation’s 250th anniversary. A total of eight Clubs will join together! Our club will join the others to plant a total of nine trees in nine different municipalities so that each municipality (72 in total) in York County receives their own “Liberty Tree.” We will begin at 8:00 a.m.!
More detail: To celebrate these benchmarks, York Rotary Foundation partnered with the County of York and America250PA to dedicate one of 67 descendent Liberty Trees at the York Colonial Courthouse on October 17, 2024, as part of the County birthday and to kick off the Nation’s birthday.
