Sally Reed is a member of the Rotary Club of York North and the school social worker for the Northeastern School District.  York North assists with Northeastern’s  annual Operation Help a Neighbor program provides new gifts to children who live in the Northeastern School District—any child from birth through 12th grade is eligible. Parents came to pick up the gifts, along with some extra items and a food box provided by the York County Food Bank.  This program serves well over 400 children this Christmas, representing 147 families in the district.

Operation Help a Neighbor is about 27 years old. This program started on a much smaller scale with a few school nurses and has really evolved over time. It’s grown into something this community is known for. Northeastern is incredibly generous, and people truly come together to support our children and families.

Sally Reed has been a Rotarian for about 13 years, and the club was definitely involved around 17 years.
