The York East Rotary Club hosted its annual Pints for Polio fundraising event on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Victory Athletic Association in York. The evening drew strong community support, raising nearly $7,000 to help eradicate polio through Rotary International’s PolioPlus Foundation. Guests gathered for an evening of camaraderie, entertainment, and charitable giving. The event featured a lively auction of sports memorabilia, event tickets, and gift packages, along with games and raffles that kept attendees engaged throughout the night. The funds raised will contribute directly to Rotary International’s PolioPlus program, which has been at the forefront of the global effort to end polio. Since its inception in 1985, the program has helped reduce polio cases by over 99% worldwide through widespread immunization and public health initiatives. York East Rotary President, Kris Pollick, expressed gratitude to the sponsors, donors, and volunteers who made the event a success. “Every dollar raised brings us closer to a world free of polio. The continued enthusiasm and generosity of our community are what make this event so impactful each year,” they said. The York East Rotary Club has long supported Rotary International’s mission of service above self—locally and globally—and Pints for Polio remains one of its cornerstone charitable events.
