The Rotary Club of Eastern York County held a Community activity at the Mifflin House and Farm at 202 Cool Springs Road in Hellam Township. Pete Miele, senior project leader, of the Susquehanna National Heritage Area (SNHA) lead the tour of the barn, former milking area and the Mifflin House. All to be renovated into a multi-million dollar Susquehanna Discovery Center & Heritage Park, a destination designed to tell the nationally important stories of York and Lancaster counties. Recently, the site at 202 Cool Springs Road was added to the National Park Service’s National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom program.
Those attending other than Rotarians were Historic Wrightsville, Inc., Wrightsville Cemetery Association, and other community leaders. To learn more about the SNHA and the Mifflin farm project, visit https://Susqnha.org/explore-2/visit-sdc.
