- Club Visit: A great visit with the Rotary Club of Red Lion, including the opportunity to meet newer members and learn about their connections throughout the community.
- District Leadership: Our District Executive Board met this week, followed by our Presidents & Assistant Governors meeting, continuing the conversations and collaboration that keep District 7390 moving forward.
- Book Drive Momentum: What a difference a day makes! We went from 50 books on Tuesday to 99 books by Wednesday afternoon — nearly doubling our collection in just one day. 99 down, 1,601 to go toward our goal of 1,700!
Hi, everyone! Here’s what’s happening around District 7390 this week.
This week, I had the opportunity to visit the Rotary Club of Red Lion, and one of the things I enjoyed most was meeting some of their new and returning members. I loved hearing about the connections the club already has made throughout their community and the different experiences and perspectives Red Lion Rotarians are bringing to Rotary.
It’s a great reminder that when we welcome new members, we’re not just adding to our numbers. We’re bringing new relationships, new ideas, and new possibilities for how Rotary can connect and serve in our communities. We also had our District Executive Board meeting this past week, followed by our Presidents and Assistant Governors meeting Tuesday evening. Thank you to everyone who continues to give their time and leadership to keep our clubs and our District moving forward.
And speaking of momentum — I have a pretty exciting Book Drive update! If you saw my email this morning, you know we’re working toward our goal of 1,700 books for seven early learning centers across our District. Yesterday, we had collected 50 books.
As of 3:00 Wednesday afternoon, we’re at 99! That means in essentially one day, you have nearly doubled our collection. So thank you to everyone who has already purchased a book, started a collection in your club, or shared the drive with others. Keep it going! Whether your club collects together, partners with a local bookstore, or you choose a book from our Amazon Wish List, every single book gets us closer to 1,700.
We have a long way to go — but 99 books is a great way to start September. Wishing you a great holiday weekend - I’ll be seeing you around the District!
