Rotary District 7390 is proud to announce that Connie Spark, District 7390 Past District Governor and member of YorkEast Rotary, had been selected as a recipient of the Donald MacRae Peace Award.
This award honors individuals who have advanced international understanding, goodwill, and peace through peacemaking efforts or humanitarian activity of international significance.
The award is named for Halifax Rotarian Donald MacRae, who, at the Rotary International Convention in 1918, boldly proposed that Rotary become an agent for promoting goodwill and peace among nations — the very first time Rotary’s international vision was publicly expressed.
