Boiling Springs High School Interact Club held a Veteran's Day Breakfast the morning of November 7, 2025. Veterans were escorted by club members to the high school cafeteria for a program and breakfast. The program began with our National Anthem sung by the Boiling Springs Concert Choir followed by a medley of each of the Services' theme songs. Members of the Carlisle Rotary Club, DG Mary Brunski, VP Lucy Zander, Michelle Lisk, Jim Nolan (not pictured) and Rick Coplen attended to assist and support the Interact Club and our local veterans. After a short presentation by Ret. Colonel Samuel Rob on Generational Service, the veterans were recognized as they departed by BSHS students lining the halls and clapping for them.
This fall, the Rotary Club of York celebrated the completion of our Market Street Tree Project, a remarkable demonstration of Rotary’s impact in action. With nearly $50,000 raised—including support from a Rotary District Grant—our club brought new life to one of York’s most visible corridors.
Together with nearly 50 Rotarians and community volunteers, we planted over 60 trees and installed 14 new planter boxes, creating a greener, more inviting gateway to the city. The results are already being felt: enhanced walkability, renewed civic pride, and growing interest from neighboring businesses to join future beautification efforts.
This project reflects what happens when Rotarians lead with vision and collaboration—combining hands-on service with lasting community investment. It’s a shining example of how our motto, Service Above Self, continues to transform York, one project at a time.
Thank you to every member who contributed time, resources, and energy to make this initiative possible. The sign at Beaver and Market Streets stands as a symbol of Rotary’s ongoing commitment to a vibrant and beautiful York.
Together, we’re not just planting trees—we’re growing community.
Members of the York East Rotary Club have been dedicated to keeping Edgewood Road clean for over three decades. Twice a year, in both spring and fall, the group volunteers to pick up trash and litter along the stretch between Prospect Street and Kingston Road. These efforts typically coincide with Penn DOT's Road Cleanup Day, reflecting the club’s long-standing commitment to community service and environmental care. This tradition, which began in 1998, has made a significant impact on the local environment. Each year, the volunteers remove a variety of debris, ranging from cans, cups, and bags to more unusual finds like tires. Occasionally, participants even come across unexpected treasures while clearing the roadside. In recognition of the club’s dedication, the York East Rotary was recently honored for its 30 years of participation in the road cleanup project. This milestone highlights the group’s enduring contribution to maintaining the beauty and cleanliness of the community.
As they continue this important work, York East Rotary remains a shining example of how consistent, local actions can have a lasting positive impact on the environment and the community

The Margaret E. Moul Home is one of the few long-term care homes in Pennsylvania dedicated specifically to adults with neuromuscular disabilities. Residents often require mobility, communication, and daily living support, which makes volunteer interaction meaningful and impactful.
Thousands of York County families rely on SNAP benefits to feed their loved ones. With those benefits paused due to the federal budget impasse, the impact is immediate and devastating. The York Rotary Foundation (YRF) Board of Directors has voted to address this urgent need with a donation of $25,000 to the Nourish Now: Food Relief Fund and $10,000 to the York County Food Bank.
“We recognize the urgency of this moment and, as “People of Action” we cannot stand by while our neighbors go hungry.” said Rotary Club of York President Wilda Reahm.
