It is with great excitement that I share the news that a new committee is being formed in our District aimed at keeping our members and the public safe during our global pandemic and beyond.  Details of the new District 7390 Safety Committee are attached including an invitation to submit your interest in supporting the effort.  Even if you can’t volunteer for the committee please don’t hesitate to reach out to me to express the different kinds of resources and guidance your club would find useful.

 

Now is a time for all of us to support one another in keeping ourselves, our families and the public safe during this uncertain time.  The District is here to support you and I look forward to sharing my expertise as a nurse in helping the effort.

Rotary District 7390 RMB hosted its first Virtual Zoom meeting for all Tiers of District 7390 on Monday, June 29 and 58^th RMB event since 2014 with roughly 28 Rotarians attending during the meeting of the more than 30 that registered for the event from approximately 15 district clubs.  We even had a RSVP from an Indian Rotarian.  Incoming District RMB Chair Scott Stevens ran the meeting with great skill and Gordon Denlinger, Director of the National Federation of Independent businesses in PA, gave a very timely and informative talk providing some helpful avenues of funding relief and some suggestions on surviving the road ahead.  After that Scott ran a Virtual Circle and everyone had a chance to talk about their business.  As with all first-time efforts, there were some technical challenges that caused some Rotarians to miss the meeting or arrive late, but this is to be expected and adjustments will be made going forward.  Thanks to Alaine Keisling for her technical help without which we would not have had our event spreadsheet nor the photos of the event.  Well done all!
