York North Rotarian Gary Lauer received another Paul Harris award due to the donations that he has made to the Rotary Foundation over many years. When a Rotarian makes donations and accumulates dollars in their account, they receive an additional Paul Harris pin acknowledging their contributions to the foundation. Gary received his PHF Paul Harris Foundation pin plus seven. This is Gary’s eighth award he has received since he has been a member of the Rotary Club of York North. Gary’s wife Kathy also accepted a Paul Harris award. The Rotary foundation awards a point for every dollar that you give to the foundation. Gary accumulated enough points over the years he has been a member of the Rotary, that he accumulated eight awards that he could give to other people. Gary gave these awards to his wife, daughter, and to various people that Gary thought embodied the Rotary spirit. Today Gary gave one of his honorary awards to his wife's father, Maurice McWilliams.
