Cressey\, a Rotarian since 1989 is a member of the Rotary Club of Paso Robles\, CA. USA in District 5240. She is recently retired as the CEO of Office Support Systems\, a telecomm unications business. She continues to serve in a number of key roles for The Rotary Foundation. Currently serving as a Trustee from 2017-2021 as well as the first woman Trustee Vice Chair and Chair in 2018-19. She con tinues to hold a number of key positions for The Rotary Foundation. Thes e opportunities allow her to meet\, mentor and serve alongside of many fe llow Rotarians around the globe. Since serving as Governor in 2001-02\, most of her Rotary assignments have focused on successful Fund Developme nt for The Rotary Foundation\, specifically in the areas of Polio Eradica tion\, Annual Fund\, Paul Harris Society\, Endowments\, Major and Legacy Gifts. Her wish is to see the end of Polio and this has been her missi on and the very reason she joined Rotary. Having participated in a numbe r of Rotary humanitarian projects around the world\, she is humbled to be a Rotary Foundation Alumnus. Brenda has seen and experienced\, first-han d\, how our gifts to the Rotary Foundation greatly impact the lives of ot hers and will someday bring peace and understanding around the world. She and her husband Dick are members of the prestigious Arch Klumph Socie ty\, Major Donors and members of the Legacy Society. They have establish ed the Brenda and Richard Cressey Endowment for Peace for the Rotary Peac e Centers. When asked what the highlights in her life might be\, she wi ll not hesitate to say that they involve being a Rotarian. She is the rec ipient of the RI “Service Above Self Award\,” The Rotary Foundation’s “Ci tation for Meritorious Service\,” and the prestigious Distinguished Servi ce Award. Brenda was honored to be nominated as one of President George H.W. Bush’s “1000 Points of Light\,” recognizing those individuals who a re making a difference through their volunteer service. She was also awar ded Maine Public Broadcasting System’s “Jefferson Award for Meritorious S ervice\,” and bestowed with the “State of Maine Governor Award for Commun ity Service. She was a two-time recipient of the American Cancer Society Volunteer of the Year Award. She resides in Templeton\, California\, U SA with her husband Richard\, recently retired from a long career as a Vi ce President in manufacturing. They both enjoy spending time outdoors an d traveling.
