The Rotary Distri ct 7390 Conference will celebrate many super heroes of our past\, present \, and future. Meet Super Rotarian\, Evan Burrell\, who is making a diff erence by leaps and bounds! Meet local Rotarians whose efforts seem to g o beyond the boundaries of mere mortal accomplishments. Are you ready to celebrate the super heroes of our Past\, Present and Future? Some of the conference highlights include: Internationally Renowned Rotarian Evan Bu rrell ~ all the way from Sydney Australia\, will share his SUPER presenta tion “If you’re not having fun\, you’re doing something wrong.” David Mo rrison\, Director of Historic Harrisburg Association and member of the Ro tary Club of Harrisburg\, will narrate an historical bus tour around the City of Harrisburg. His insights will certainly enlighten all who partic ipate! State Representative Patty Kim\, a former news anchor and reporter and Harrisburg City Councilwoman\, was first elected to the state House of Representatives in 2012 and has been a leader in government reform and transparency. She returned her cost of living increase (COLA) and introd uced a bill to eliminate the yearly pay increases. She is also one of the only members of the House to post all of her expenses on her legislative website for public review. Tracy Pawelski\, Senior Communications Counse l of Harrisburg based PPO&S\, will overview her recent pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago (a 500 mile walking journey across Spain) and how we\, as Rotarians\, can benefit from her observations and insights. Tracy’s pilgrimage was seeded through her daughter’s experience as a Rotary Youth Exchange Student in Spain. The Presidents of four Young Professional Or ganizations have agreed to serve on a panel to overview their thoughts on addressing community needs\; how to engage with young professionals\; an d how our clubs can work together with Young Professional Organizations t oward common goals. We have invited local and state elected officials… th e finalists of the Four Way Test Speech contest will share their presenta tions\; and Rotary Means Business will present the first ever Opportunity Summit as part of the conference.
