The role of the membership committee is to develop and implement a plan for recruiting and retaining quality Club members. Committee meetings are held as outlined in the Club Membership plan or whenever required by the Chairperson or the President. Organizes pre-induction meetings, educates new members on what Rotary is, the time commitment, club involvement and expectations as club member. Assigns mentors to all new members. Tracks progress of new members on completion of orientation requirements. Help to identify committee assignments. Make name badges for the new member. Sends "thank you" notes and applications to visitors. Updates board on member status. Contacts new member after 3 months and make sure they are getting what they wanted out of Rotary.
